Unpleasant smells in the room!!! The pool is smaller than expected and not suitable for proper swimming!!! Lack of outside facing windows in the room was disappointing. The issue with only one key card created an inconvenience.

i can’t believe i almost gave a good review. the wifi was absolutley spotty and the room’s windows looked right into a corridor, a serious breach of privacy. i also expected a room upgrade because of my troubles, but i guess that’s too much to ask here. take your chances if you dare.

I stayed for 2 nights in a Double Room while exploring the nearby Santa Lucia Park and Merida Cathedral. The rooftop terrace was definitely a highlight, offering a pleasant place to unwind after a day of sightseeing. The room was cleaned daily, and I appreciated the air conditioning, which was a relief after walking around the city. However, the shower was pretty slippery, so watch your step!

This place was right across from a popular restaurant and just a few blocks from the main square. Daily surprises from the maid, like folded towel designs, made my stay a bit more special.
It wasn't exactly a bargain but still acceptable.

the location of colonial is great, just two blocks from the plaza grande. there are lots of restaurants within walking distance. our room was small but clean with air conditioning that worked well. we enjoyed the outdoor pool during our stay as well.

The location was excellent for exploring nearby eateries. I enjoyed the rooftop terrace during the evenings. Perfect spot near the action
This place feels like home! I loved hanging out by the pool after a day of exploring. The staff is super friendly and helpful, treating you like family. I had breakfast in the room, which was a nice perk. Just wish the room had better sound insulation. I could hear neighbors at times.
